At its highest point, Upward Bound soars more than 35 feet and consists of three vertical beams in vibrant colors set on a double-layered, round concrete base. Located in the center of The Hill, this sculpture is the connection anchor of the Downtown Campus. Made of rolled galvanized steel tubes with enamel-painted steel face plates, it sits on a pedestal with two surface finishes. At night, Upward Bound will illuminate campus with recessed color-changing LED lights.
